Voodoo Charm Mousery is an ethical, responsible breeder based out of Denton, Texas. But what exactly makes our mice different than your typical feeder breeder, or pet store? Why choose well-bred mice?
Pedigrees, Lineages, and Thoughtful Pairing
Feeder breeders and pet stores are supplied by animal mills, whose priority is simply to produce as many mice as possible. Unlike them, we do NOT colony breed. Instead, we select pairings for optimum health, temperament, and type. We track our pedigrees closely, and monitor each of our lines for potential genetic issues that could arise.
Health and Temperament Focused
Above all else, our priority is producing animals that are physically and genetically healthy, and temperamentally sound. We do everything we can to prevent genetic health conditions, and breed against common health issues in mice as a species, such as tumors. Our mice receive daily health examinations to ensure they are feeling their best. We practice parasite preventatives and monitor weights closely. Additionally, we select for even-mannered, handleable mice. Our mice are bred not to flee, jump, or bite, or fight with their cage-mates in the case of females. Instead, they are bred to be confident, social, affectionate, and easy to handle and love.
Health Guarantee and Lifetime Support
To ease our adopter's peace of mine, we offer a comprehensive Health Guarantee program with every mouse we sell. Additionally, we provide support through the lifetime of your mouse. We are always available to answer any questions, offer advice, and help guide new owners. Additionally, if you are no longer able to care for your mouse, we will always take them back and help them find a new home. This is part of our commitment as an ethical breeder to keep mice out of shelters.
